Bio:
Adam Samson is President of the Advocate Health National Center for Clinical Trials, where he leads the strategy and operational transformation of one of the nation's largest integrated clinical research enterprises. In this role, he is responsible for scaling industry-sponsored clinical trials, expanding community-based research access, and modernizing trial delivery across a multi-state health system serving millions of patients. Adam brings nearly 20 years of experience spanning health systems, biopharma, academic research organizations, and digital health. Prior to Advocate Health, he served as the inaugural Head of Clinical Trial Delivery Operations at Walgreens, where he built and scaled a nationwide network of pharmacy-embedded clinical trial sites and led innovative decentralized and pragmatic research programs designed to reduce patient burden and expand access to participation. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Curebase, Chiesi, and the Duke Clinical Research Institute. He holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences in Clinical Research Administration from The George Washington University and is recognized for his work advancing next-generation clinical trial delivery models that integrate research into routine care, leverage real-world data and digital technologies, and improve speed, scalability, and equity in research participation. Adam has led large-scale clinical research initiatives across academic, health system, retail pharmacy, and decentralized care settings, with expertise spanning operational strategy, site network development, decentralized clinical trials, and real-world evidence generation. He is a frequent speaker on modernizing clinical trial infrastructure, embedding research into healthcare delivery, and advancing more patient-centered and accessible models for clinical development.
