Bio:
Dana Iommazzo is a pharmaceutical executive and Head of Clinical Operations Program Management at Novartis, where she leads a global organization transforming how clinical trials are planned and executed. With more than 25 years of experience across clinical development, Dana specializes in feasibility strategy, study planning, and operational transformation. She leads a global community of experts who use data and advanced analytics to inform trial design, optimize country and site selection, and improve execution outcomes across key therapeutic areas including Oncology, Immunology, Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolic, and Neuroscience. Dana has played a pivotal role in shaping Novartis's clinical operations strategy, including designing and implementing a new operating model aimed at accelerating the delivery of clinical programs. She is known for building high-performing teams, driving cross-functional alignment, and advancing data-driven and AI-enabled approaches to decision-making in drug development. She is passionate about humanizing medicine and is committed to improving health outcomes through collaboration across industry, academia, and public partnerships. Outside of her professional work, Dana serves as an advisor for A Chance in Life and as an ambassador on the National Council for the American Enterprise Institute. She holds a Master of Medical Humanities from Drew University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Maryland.
