Heather De Luca
SVP, Head of Global Program Leadership and Global Clinical Operations
Bio:
Heather has over 20 years of pharmaceutical global drug development experience across clinical operations, clinical development, program and portfolio leadership and strategy, and organizational transformation. Heather was introduced to Teva in December 2022 as a pharmaceutical transformation and strategy consultant, where she quickly formed partnerships and gained insights to help design the Teva R&D Transformation effort. Thereafter, she officially joined Teva in July 2023 as SVP, Head of Global Program Leadership. As of May 2025, she additionally took over leadership of the Global Clinical Operations organization.
Prior to Teva, she spent nearly 15 years at Novartis where she held several leadership positions including Global Head and Vice President, Portfolio Strategy & Operations, Clinical Development & Analytics & China Global Drug Development, among others. Before joining Novartis, she worked for Abbott as well as Stryker Orthopedics.
Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. She also holds a Master’s in Clinical Research Organization & Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School in Newark, NJ. Outside of work, Heather lives in Basel, Switzerland and enjoys traveling, skiing, and outdoor adventures with her husband and daughter.
