Lora Black is Vice President of Clinical Research at Sanford Health, where she leads enterprise-wide clinical research operations, including international cancer collaborations, the early phase trial program, and decentralized clinical trial initiatives. She oversees more than 250 active clinical trials and studies across eight sites, coordinating clinical research across the Sanford Health footprint.

With over 20 years of healthcare and clinical research experience, Lora has expertise in trial design, protocol development, regulatory compliance, and research operations. She began her career as a medical oncology nurse and transitioned to clinical research in 2006, playing an integral role in the development of Sanford�s institutional clinical research office.

Lora is dedicated to improving clinical trial access and outcomes for underrepresented populations and serves on multiple national committees focused on research access and health policy. She holds a BBA from the University of Sioux Falls, an MPH from Creighton University, is an Oncology Certified Nurse and ACRP Certified Professional, and serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.
