Marie-Claude Raymond has over 25 years of leadership experience in global and local pharmaceutical clinical operations, across trial phases specializing in Oncology and other specialty therapeutic areas. Currently serving as Head of Clinical Operations North America at Bristol Myers Squibb, Marie-Claude leads site management and monitoring for a diverse R&D trials portfolio, driving process and strategy improvements to position BMS as a preferred partner and supporting high-performing country-level trial teams. Previously, Marie-Claude held senior roles at Boehringer-Ingelheim as US Head of Clinical Development and Operations and in Novartis where she held a series of increasingly senior positions, including Global Head of Scientific Development and Operations within Exploratory Clinical Development, Global Head of Clinical Trial Management & Resources in Oncology Clinical Development, and Global Head of Development Operations Services. She has built and led large global and local teams, spearheaded major organizational transformations, and developed award-winning strategies for diverse populations in clinical trials and operational excellence for protocol development. Her expertise spans strategic acquisition integration, process improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma Black Belt), and the creation of centers of excellence for clinical trial management. Marie-Claude is recognized for her dynamic leadership, ability to mobilize teams toward ambitious goals, and commitment to innovation and inclusion. She has authored SOPs, designed scalable hiring strategies and organization, and driven measurable improvements in trial feasibility and start-up timelines. Her collaborative approach and strong communication skills have fostered alignment across diverse stakeholders and functions. Originally from Canada, Marie-Claude has also lived in Switzerland and has called the United States home since 2011. Her international experience has shaped a broad and strategic perspective on clinical development and operations. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Montreal, along with an MBA jointly awarded by the European University and the University of Dallas. Marie-Claude is also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, bringing a strong foundation in process excellence and operational efficiency. Outside of work, Marie-Claude enjoys discovering new countries, taking full advantage of everything New York City has to offer, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
